We found POOOO!
We found composted horse manure with clay right here in Lakewood. What a relief I was really starting to stress about what all these poor little seeds were gonna go into. I am waiting for a call from the guy that is supposed to drop it off so I can come take a look first. He will need to drop it off soon before the road restrictions go on. I never would have thought about that. I am so glad I called early!
Gina comes up on Monday. We are going to paint boards for the raised beds if it's warm enough in the garage. Then we are gonna plant some seeds that need to be started in the basement on the heated floor and hang some shop lights over them.
I have to say February is painful. I can feel spring in the air but the ground is still covered with snow. Gor! Although, I have been admiring the square patch of dirt about the septic tank. I took a temperature there the other day and found it to be 10 degrees above the rest of the yard. A whopping 42 degrees! Holy crap break out the lettuce seeds!
